Dr. Qureshi is a physician and earned her doctorate in Urban Systems (Health track) from UMDNJ, NJIT and Rutgers-Newark. Her research interests include immigrant, maternal-child and racial and sexual minority health. She is especially interested in social, cultural and theoretical underpinnings pertaining to these health topics.
She is a Systematic Review trainer and a member of the Research, Evaluation, Grants and Scholarship team.

Currently working on:
Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) health needs assessment in New Jersey; A systematic review of association between exposure to environmental tobacco smoke in utero and subsequent childhood obesity; Measurement of health professionals’ attitudes towards LGBT patients.
